I officially began my business, Paper Pleasers in 2011. My friends and family began referring me to do their wedding stationery and everything in between. They knew my experience in managing multiple projects and creative ingenuity was something unique, and saw the passion and heart I put into my own making and gift giving. I really love being a part of the planning process, discovering how to make something memorable, personal, and special for every client I work with. Being in control of my business allows me to have an endless variety of options to pull from, and create a personal connection to the people I work with. Those are the qualities that set small businesses apart, and is why I continue supporting other small businesses, like myself. It’s a community of people that is an awesome thing to be a part of.

I began working for Paper Pleasers as an art intern in 2016. I found a great working connection with Ellen and have continued working alongside her, while I completed my BFA from MIAD for Illustration and Communication Design. With my specialty in cut-paper illustrations, and interest in the stationery world, working at Paper Pleasers has been a natural fit. My favorite thing about working with Ellen is the constant exchange of ideas we bounce off of each other. We get to play off of each other’s strengths, and come up with some really fun, unique designs and new products. I have a lot of freedom to help bring these ideas to the table and incorporate my own artwork into the mix. A lot of my passion comes from creating something specifically for someone else. I am inspired by the little details that make up someone’s life and personality to ultimately create something personal to them. Recognizing those qualities, and knowing that they'll be appreciated is a really rewarding part of what I do.
